Project Overview

How we completed the restoration

In May 2026, Fibreglaze restored the 11 x 5 m pebblecrete pool in McLeans Ridges, New South Wales. The existing pool had deteriorated tiled areas and a stained, rough or dated finish that required careful assessment and preparation before resurfacing.

The tiled areas were prepared for incorporation into the new lining, and resin-based screeding and filler corrected surface irregularities. A new structural fibreglass laminate and the Fibreglaze Enduratec finishing system were then installed, with the pool completed in Dove Grey Speckle as a smooth, seamless surface.

Work completed

  • Prepared the pool for the Fibreglaze Enduratec resurfacing system.
  • Prepared and incorporated deteriorated tiled areas into the new lining.
  • Corrected the stained, rough or dated surface with resin-based screeding and filler.
  • Installed a new structural fibreglass laminate.
  • Applied the Dove Grey Speckle AquaGuard finish.

POOL ISSUES

Issues addressed in this pool

These were the main pool conditions recorded for this project. Select an issue to learn more about its common signs, possible causes and repair considerations.

Degrading Tiles

Loose tiles, eroded grout and cracked tiled areas can allow water behind the finish and create sharp or unstable surfaces. The tiling and substrate must be assessed before removal, repair or encapsulation is selected.

Rough, Stained or Dated

Staining, roughness and an outdated finish can make a sound pool unpleasant to use and difficult to maintain. The underlying cause must be identified before the surface is cleaned, levelled and restored.
