Project Overview

How we completed the restoration

In January 2026, Fibreglaze restored the 8 x 3 m fibreglass-lined concrete pool in Landsborough, Queensland. The existing pool had a stained, rough or dated finish that required careful assessment and preparation before resurfacing.

Resin-based screeding and filler were applied to correct surface irregularities, followed by a new structural fibreglass laminate and the Fibreglaze Enduratec finishing system. The pool was completed in Lagoon Blue Speckle as a smooth, seamless surface.

Work completed

  • Prepared the pool for the Fibreglaze Enduratec resurfacing system.
  • Corrected the stained, rough or dated surface with resin-based screeding and filler.
  • Installed a new structural fibreglass laminate.
  • Applied the Lagoon Blue Speckle AquaGuard finish.

CLIENT FEEDBACK

What the client said

We are really happy with the finished result! Our pool was only 7 years old and in good condition, but it was just a grey, dull concrete pool! Now it looks so pretty and hasn’t really brightened up the whole pool area.

Your team kept me well informed on when they would be on site and were really friendly and professional. They did a fantastic job and we couldn’t be happier

POOL ISSUES

Issues addressed in this pool

These were the main pool conditions recorded for this project. Select an issue to learn more about its common signs, possible causes and repair considerations.

Loose Hollow Masonry

Loose or hollow-sounding render, plaster, pebblecrete or another cement-based finish may no longer be firmly bonded to the pool shell. Unstable areas must be removed to a sound edge before repair, levelling and resurfacing.

Rough, Stained or Dated

Staining, roughness and an outdated finish can make a sound pool unpleasant to use and difficult to maintain. The underlying cause must be identified before the surface is cleaned, levelled and restored.
