In August 2024, Fibreglaze delivered a coordinated repair program for Quilpie Shire Council across the Eromanga and Quilpie aquatic centres. At Eromanga, failed backfill and groundwater pressure had deformed sections of the 20 x 6 m, three-piece moulded fibreglass pool shell, with osmosis also identified.
Council’s civil works team removed a section of the surrounding concrete pavement and excavated behind the deformed pool walls. Fibreglaze then repaired and pressure-tested the exposed plumbing, realigned and reinforced the deformed walls, treated the osmosis, and resurfaced the pool with the Enduratec System. Fibreglaze also supervised the staged engineered backfilling while the pool was progressively refilled, helping the repaired shell remain correctly aligned throughout reinstatement.
